What a whitewashed and sanitised version of events. Rather than take the good from the bad, we will know them by their fruits. He sold healing (in return for tithes) which should ring alarm bells. Zion City was an abusive theocracy. He owned the bank, schools, all the businesses, and land which he leased out at exorbitant prices to his followers. He quickly became one of the richest men in America. He had a dominionist and ecumenical vision and prophesied that he would unite Mormons, Catholics and Protestants under his apostleship (and that even the pope would submit to him). Later on, he claimed he was the prophet Elijah that had returned to prepare the world for the end times. He also introduced the dangerous idea that Christians must ignore their doctor, throw out their medicines and rely on miracles only for healing. Tragically, people in his town experienced excruciating deaths after being denied treatment. T. P. O'Connor, an Irish M.P. and journalist, wrote of Dowie: "the one incomprehensible element in the man's gigantic success is the personal luxury in which he lives, and his superb refusal at the same time to account for any of the sums of money entrusted to him. His horses are worth a fortune in themselves; his carriages are emblazoned with armorial bearings; his wife is said to dress with the gorgeous extravagance of an empress. When he travels, hemmed round with a little army of servants, the prophet of humility and self-denial has a special train chartered, and whenever the spiritual burdens become too great a tax there is a delightful country residence belonging to him in which to retreat from the clamour and importunate appeals of the faithful.’ After choosing a life of polygamy, his wife and family left him. He faced litigation, bankruptcy and increasing hostility for fraud and embezzlement and his credibility suffered from all the fake healings, deaths and prophecies that never came to pass. Yet despite these documented facts, he is hailed in this video as one of “God’s generals”. It seems to me he was more one of the enemy’s wolves who abused and ravaged the flock. On an encouraging note, the church that he founded is now very solid and Bible-based and has rejected the false doctrines that it was originally founded upon, knowing better than most the dangers of false teaching.

I need help, I am broken and shattered into pieces, and I don't know what to do or where to go. My parents call me possessed all the time and tell me I need deliverance. They call me a retard and that devil did that to me. If Jesus met you, all I want is just one hug, one hug from Him, I want Him to love me. I am broken. I have been saved ever since a little kid and brought up in a Christian household but my family hates me and I need help. I believe the area that needs to be further revealed at this time, is, ... the 7 Spirits of God, ... as he previously referenced, first fully mentioned in Isaiah 11, .... this description of GODS anointing, and empowering of CHRIST into HIS ministry, thrust HIM [CHRIST], into ministry, ... and it was, and is, by, and through the HOLY SPIRITS enabling, that ALL of his ministry, is forever performed, ... and because this is true, of HIM, .. it will also be true of us, .... that "the greater works than these", will be accomplished the same way, ....

No sir, Jesus didn’t say "I make a mansion for you" ✍🏻 He said He was going to prepare a place for us, and that there are many mansions in His father’s house. The term "mansion" is "rooms" in most translations. I do believe in mansions as rewards in Heaven though.

HIGHLY Recommend Christ the Healer. I started studying healing in the Bible 11 years ago, after our daughter collapsed, was on life support for 4 days, but then - despite prayers being said all over the world - died. I wanted to know why our prayers, and the prayer of SO many others, were not answered. Of all the almost 20 books I read on Christian healing, Christ the Healer is the most thorough, most readable, and most comprehensive of them all. I can only echo what Roberts says; if you read nothing else about healing, then read Christ the Healer! ................................................. Lately I have also read God Wants You Well, by Andrew Wommack. ................. Now I recommend Christ the Healer first, and God Wants You Well next! .............. Read them both!!

Folks, I don't want to take away from some of the beautiful stories that have been shared here -- and I do NOT rule out the possibility that God could communicate with people in supernatural ways... But if you want to answer the old Shakespearean question: "what's in a name?"...I think, in his case, Roberts "LIAR"-don has given us the answer. This guy has been discredited *numerous* times, and even had to step down from his job as a church pastor in 2001 for having an "inappropriate sexual relationship." (Just Google "Roberts Liardon discredited," and the LA Times article about it will come up, among numerous others)... But what do you expect? He was even named after one of the biggest crooks in the business, Oral Roberts, granddaddy of all word-of-faith, "name it and claim it," health n' wealth, money-grubbing televangelists. Liardon may not be as bad as someone like Jesse Duplantis, but he's not much better. If you really need stories like this to encourage you, I just want to say that there are much better, more believable accounts out there. Otherwise, all the encouragement you need is right in that dusty bible that you should try to crack open once in a while. My two cents, anyway.

Kind of funny the guy prayed and ask God if Jesus could do something. I believe Jesus said, No man can come to the Father but my me. John 10:30, I am my Father are one. Jesus is God according to the Bible I read.
